Get Up & Go! Beady sneaky and not via ADSL this morning. And because of this, or rather thanks to our Serbian friends. The beers were good and great conversations. We head into the "ua". And what awaits us outside the tent of our new friends? A hot coffee. Allez hop, my breakfast with friends!
We're going to 10h/10h30, not in Olympic form but happy.
La couleur was announced ... It was going to be easy in this country. Was cleared quickly from the city rotten, because we had already fallen far behind on the timing. It was speeder without depriving themselves to admire the Danube. At this point, the river is bordered by mountains very steep, wooded and rocky between parties: an aggressive and imposing terrain contrasts with the calm water.
On the journey, not much to say except that we quickly regretted not having traveled Serbian side. Indeed, the Romanians decided to rehabilitate the entire road along the Danube, with the help of Europe ... great idea. But should s'mettre to work guys! Bitumen torn for miles (we started in "ATV") and workers in permanent break we lost a lot of time. You add the strays reverence and total lack of bars or any body of water over 60 km, nice ride quickly turned into a big mess.
Apparently, Romanians voted "no" referendum on tunnels. When the mountain fell down into the river, rather than making a hole in it, as the Serb side, they are a diversion with option "Alpe d'Huez. After yet another side to dodge a blank rock a little too steep, you meet in a village coffee (finally) and a "penciune" (sort of hotel) where we decide to stop. It is important to rest because the day was over 160 km to go to finally reach Bulgaria. We pass on the cake Tronches spotted in the bar because the owner was nice and comfortable: that's the key.
The banks of the Danube were a foretaste of the galleys we met in Romania. Today, hello hell, true! The Hungarian desert, next was a joke, because there, in addition to the heatwave, we were treated to all options: hyper aggressive drivers, insults villagers, always super highways rotten kids that we throw pebbles, hordes of angry dogs, no bank, no bars, not a cool person encountered in more than 300 km. In Romania, even the sunflowers do not want to push! Both say they gave everything to reach Vidin, Bulgaria our first step. My knee hurts when the day came the big climb and fatigue Tom that I could relay did not help. The only positive is we did not spend a Lei more than we gave Octavian on the boat. A
Carafate, we take the barge that brings us to the shore of the last country on our journey.
Nous sommes le mercredi 22 Juillet et l'objectif est d'atteindre Blagoevgrad Saturday to do the chug with our friends.
Before discussing the result, it seems important to conclude on Romania. Of course, by reading to us, it does not want to spend your next vacation. But we certainly have crossed one of the most idle parts of the country in a period of drought at that. People we have spoken of Bucharest, the capital, Costanza on the Black Sea, North and East, as being very nice and places to discover. So it was a stroke of bad luck and we'll see if curiosity prompts us to return.
Tomorrow is pushed to the foot of the Bulgarian mountains.
