Waxing After A Shower

or Fatimid Cairo Egypt, south of Cairo, the pyramids: it's a game adults

We had some apprehensions to visit the famous pyramids located south west of Cairo.
urbanization near frantic, fear:
- crowds of tourists,
-harassment by touts and vendors of all kinds, listed in guides,
-distances between monuments within a site,
-interior corridors reduced height of some pyramids ("claustrophobic abstain),
everything was heavily "anxiety". Add the above to pass time in traffic. would know we deal with both time and stress and discomfort?

The response was positive through a number of factors and our preparation. The gods were with us and we had the ER of light.

Without repeating the many sayings that invite you to get up early, for a hotel breakfast before 7:00, a taxi booked and (of course negotiated earlier) each day starting no later than at 7:30 am from the city center towards the periphery of the catalysts are already successful.

We started by Saqqara about 25 km from Cairo and 15 km from Giza. It's a fairly extensive website (the taxi of the day can go to some other points), a quiet early hour, where we see his eyes pyramids, building components, fine drawings and hieroglyphs, and where one should imagine the life and past grandeur.
A small museum, opened in 2006 by Jacqueschiracthon, it works. A French, J. Ph. Lauer, had worked 70 years on the site, Djeser and the royal architect Imhotep. You can visit some graves and mastaba (tomb).

10 km south of Sakkara, the Pyramids of Dahshur which 2 are the main Red Pyramid (stone glowing under a certain light) and the rhomboid pyramid (as adopted in response to problems during construction and recalculations). The taxi can connect the 2, 2 km apart.

En arrivant vers 13H00, une partie des touristes groupistes, fed at fixed times, is not there yet. Each pyramid is of course impressive, alignment, too. The giant solar barque Royal (42 meters long) also. The sphinx, however, good size, almost seems small. The taxi can carry Cheops (main entrance) to it, allowing pictures with 1st and 2nd level before exiting through the entrance No. 2. A drink on the floor of the Pizza Hut deal with this output can prolong the pleasure.

In this circuit of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (with a stop PH Giza and heavy traffic to return), it is impossible to exhaustively visit the 3 sites. But the chief has been seen and approved. To "read" it occurred before and after (and a little while). We were happy not having a local guide, who allegedly hijacked the height and contemplation of these pyramids. To See the pyramid on the spot Bring in Some Light.
